Cross Country Skiing
Enjoy a family activity combining sports and nature.
Cross-country skiing is a form of skiing where skiers rely on their own locomotion to move across snow-covered terrain, rather than using ski lifts or other forms of assistance over a range of terrain,
Description
Cross-country skiing is widely practised as a sport and recreational activity, allowing the skier to move about, uphill or downhill, over a variety of terrain. This can be done because in cross-country skiing, the ski is only attached to the boot at the toe, freeing the heel to allow the skier to perform more of a skating motion for flat ground, uphill and mild downhill slopes. It’s a dream! Cross country skiing in prepared ski tracks, gliding along through the forest enjoying the surrounding beauty. Come and give cross country skiing a try!
